Cosmetic Packaging Quality Control: From Incoming Materials to Shipment

Our cosmetic packaging inspection process follows the order through incoming materials, production and shipment. Order details, agreed samples and customer standards provide the reference for the work. Order numbers and QR codes support batch traceability.

This guide describes the factory's current workflow and the information a buyer can provide to make the order requirements clear.

1. Incoming materials are inspected before acceptance

Incoming materials are inspected. Materials that pass are accepted into storage. Materials that do not pass are returned or handled before production, and the supplier is required to make improvements.

For buyers, the useful starting point is a clear component specification for the selected assembly. Identify the product reference and any agreed material requirements so that the order information reflects the configuration being purchased.

2. Production includes first-piece and recurring inspections

The process includes first-piece inspection, patrol inspection every two hours and sampling inspection. Products that pass are accepted into storage. Nonconforming products are reworked and reinspected; they are accepted after passing the reinspection.

Keeping the approved appearance and component configuration clear helps the production team work against the same reference. If a sample changes during development, identify the approved version before the order proceeds.

The factory has 72 injection molding machines and 56 automatic or semi-automatic assembly lines. Equipment and inspection workflow are described together on the company and factory page, alongside production photographs and the company film.

3. The order, sample and customer standards guide outgoing checks

Before shipment, products are checked against the order details, samples and customer standards. Products that pass are released for shipment. Products that do not pass are returned to the workshop for rework.

When you have a particular appearance, assembly, packing or evaluation requirement, include it in the project discussion so that its scope and acceptance criteria can be agreed for the order. The applicable checks depend on the packaging configuration and your requirements.

4. Order numbers and QR codes support traceability

The factory uses order numbers and QR codes for batch traceability. When following up on a delivery or reporting an issue, provide the order reference together with the product model and any available label information.

Clear photographs of the issue and its location on the component help explain what needs review. Keep the affected samples and their identification available while the order is being discussed.

5. Give the team a clear approval handover

A short, consistent handover helps connect sample approval to the purchase order:

  • Product: selected SKU and agreed assembly.
  • Appearance: approved sample reference, color and artwork version.
  • Order: quantity and any agreed packing requirements.
  • Acceptance: customer standards and project-specific evaluation requirements agreed with the team.
  • Follow-up: a named contact and the order reference to use in correspondence.

If you are still choosing the assembly, begin with the packaging selection guide. For lip gloss projects, the tube, applicator and wiper guide explains how to organize the sample review before approval.
